COME GET TO KNOW THE WORK OF WOMEN HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS IN AMERICA
Thursday 8 / 18’30 - 19’30 h / Vila Nova de Praia
WHRDs Tribute
Together let’s construct the collective memory of our movements. This Tribute honors the feminists, women human rights defenders and LGBTQI activists who are no longer with us. It will consist of a mural painted with the names, faces and stories of activists and defenders. You can help create the mural by bringing names, faces, images or poems to honor the memory of the activists and defenders who are dear to you and to your movement.
At the Forum, you can participate in the ceremony for the commemoration of activists and defenders who have passed away or have been killed because of their activism. When the mural is unveiled, there will be a ritual, music and dance in their honor to celebrate the courage and passion of those who struggle for justice in the world.
Saturday 10 / 11’30 - 13’00 h / Semente de Cacau
