Cristian Hernández and her comrades, including an underage youth, are being accused of the alleged ofenses of Coacción y atentados and attempts on the internal security of the Honduras State for having exercized their legitimate right as townspeople to protect their health and territory.

We of the National Network of Women Human Rights Defenders in Honduras denounce the continued repression and criminalization of members of Boulevard Neighbors in Villa de San Francisco, a persecution in which the National Police, Office of Police Investigations, and Public Prosecutor, along with the Tres Valles Sugar Company, have formed an alliance to criminalize and prosecute the defenders as a measure to límit their right to defend rights.

We call on all national and international organizations and on the people of Honduras to stay on the alert and extend their solidarity to the townspeople organized in Boulevard Neigbors, who have made use of their legitimate right to defend their health and territory.
